Day 2
WANLA - HANUPATTA Gradual ascent to Gyalpo-la (3900 m).This is a 7 hr trek.

Day 3
HANUPATTA - PHOTOKSAR: Trek through paths cut into the rocks, & over the Sirsir-la (4900 m)

Day 4
PHOTOKSAR - MARLING: Optional trek to the abandoned gompa. Trek over the Boumitse-la (4900 m)

Day 5
MARLING - LINGSHET: Gradual climb to Singi-la (5060m). Optional visit to the Gelugpa gompa in Lingshet.

Day 6
LINGSHET - ZINGCHEN: Trek over Hanuma-la (5000 m)

Day 7
ZINGCHEN - HANUMIL: Steep ascent of around 07 hrs, to Parfi-la.

Day 8
HANUMIL - PISHU: Enroute visit Zangla village.

Day 9
PISHU - KARSHA: Trek to Thongde gompa. Then a 6 hr trek to Karsha village which has the largest monastery in the Zanskar region.

Day 10
KARSHA - PADUM: Padum is the regional headquarter for Zanskar.

Day 11
PADUM - MUNE: The trail follows the course of the Tsarap river.

Day 12
MUNE - ICHAR: The trail then descends to Ichar through some impressive gorges.

Day 13
ICHAR - PURNE: Trek along the Kargyak river.

Day 14
PURNE: Visit the Phuktal monastery, 5 kms from Purne. This monastery dates back to the 11th century, and has been carved out of the mountain face.

Day 15
PURNE - KARGYAK: Follow the Testa & Kuru rivers to the last village in the Zanskar trail-Kargyak.

Day 16
KARGYAK - LAKONG: The trail winds through yak pastures used by nomads until the late autumn.

Day 17
LAKONG - CHUMIK NAGPO: A steep ascent to the Shingo-la offers spectacular views of hanging glaciers & unclimbed peaks.

Day 18
CHUMIK NAGPO-SUMDO: Trek through narrow valley.

Day 19
SUMDO-CHHALANG TOKPO: Trek across grazing pastures.

Day 20
CHHALANG TOKPO - DARCHA: Trek ends at Darcha.

Day 21
DARCHA ONWARDS: Transfer from Darcha to Manali.
